Seminole Tribe Of Florida To Launch Sports Wagering, Roulette And Craps On December 7 In The Sunshine State
The Seminole Tribe of Florida has formally given the go-ahead to expand its casino gaming under the Gaming Compact, a monumental deal officially signed and supported by the State of Florida and the Tribe two years ago, back in 2021. Additionally, the development was also backed up by the U.S. Supreme Court when on October 25th it officially dismissed the bid seeking to hinder the implementation of the Compact.
A new era in Florida gaming:
The aforementioned tribe in partnership with the Seminole Hard Rock is preparing for an impressive celebration, representing the new beginning of a “New Era In Florida Gaming.” Additionally, the gala, which is scheduled for this coming December, will mark the official launch of roulette, sports wagering and craps in each of the 6 casinos owned by Seminole Casinos.
Additionally, the President of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, Marcellus Osceola Jr., showed his appreciation to the U.S. Department of the Interior, the State of Florida and the U.S. Department of Justice for their continued support in protecting the Compact. In this regard, he said: “The collective efforts are a historic legal triumph.” In this regard, he added according to PR Newswire: “I was proud to work with the Tribe on our historic Gaming Compact and I look forward to its full implementation.”
Furthermore, Gov. Ron DeSantis also praised the initiative, noting its capacity to spur job production, boost tourism and “inject billions of dollars” into Florida’s income. Relatedly, he expressed his approval of the joint work that peaked in the aforementioned significant Gaming Compact.
Upcoming launch:
The highly anticipated debut of roulette, craps and sports wagering is scheduled for December 7, at 3 casinos owned by the said tribe in South Florida, such as Seminole Casino Coconut Creek, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood and Seminole Classic Casino in Hollywood. However, on December 8th, these newest types of games will also be officially launched at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa. After that, Seminole Brighton Casino located on the northwest side of Lake Okeechobee and Seminole Casino Immokalee close to Naples will debut the aforementioned games on December 11.
